Charity Profile

Circle of Comfort is a registered charity which offers complementary therapies to people diagnosed with cancer, multiple sclerosis or Parkinson`s disease. Treatments can either be provided at home or in hospital. Massage, aromatherapy or reflexology treatments are given by one of our therapists to patients in Fife and Perthshire, free of charge.

Circle of Comfort was established by Roseann Haig who had a well established private complementary therapies practice and who completed a BSc in Complementary Therapies in 2003. As part of her private practice, Roseann treated clients with various cancer diagnoses and was also a volunteer therapist at the hospice in the Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. She therefore saw first hand the benefits that complementary therapies can provide to cancer patients.

Roseann felt inspired to give something back to the community that helped her build a successful business and, with the understanding she had gained in providing therapies to cancer patients, she established Circle of Comfort as a charity in 2007.

Circle of Comfort is managed by a voluntary Executive Committee of Trustees of which Roseann is the Chairperson.
